I have 3 boys aged 16,15 & 7 with additional needs. The youngest is now home educated and although I love spending so much time with him the responsibility of proving him and education as well as parent is sometimes very overwhelming.

Welcome to the community @3istoomany you may also be interested in our education and learning discussions.

Scope has recently set up a new service called Navigate. Navigate provides a six week programme of online and telephone support to parents who have a child going through diagnosis or have a child who has recently been diagnosed within 12 months. The aim is to provide parents of a child with a disability with emotional and practical support and help them navigate these early stages. It also gives parents a chance to talk through things and how they're feeling in a safe space.

    Please visit https://www.scope.org.uk/family-services/navigate or call 0808 801 0510 for more information. :)

Hi @3istoomany and welcome to the community!

Have you looked into the Local Offer or Family Information service in your local area to see if they can offer or point you in the right direction for potential support? There also should be a Parent Partnership Service (PPS) in you local area that can offer guidance and support in terms of education for children with additional learning needs and what your rights as a parent are. It may be worth looking into this.

Hope this helps and you find the Scope community useful!
