I've just put in an appeal for my ESA, just wondering if I'd be able to claim income support until its all sorted?

Welcome to the community @Fran96 :)

    The Citizen advice says:

You might be able to claim Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) or Income Support while waiting for a decision on your mandatory reconsideration if:

    • you’re entitled to a severe disability premium (SDP) with any of your benefits or you were entitled to it in the last month, and
    • you still meet the conditions of entitlement

Claiming these benefits during a mandatory reconsideration shouldn't affect your ESA reconsideration request. Get help from your nearest Citizens Advice if you're not sure whether to claim other benefits. You can read more on this on Citizen Advice's website. If you have nay questions, please let us know.
