Problems with right foot

I have had PN for 5years. Main problem is that I suffer from drop foot in both legs for which I wear Toeup supports which help. Pain controlled by taking Pentagabin 3 times a day.

My big problem is that my right foot and ankle have. swollen up. Consultant said this morning it’s not due to PN.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the community @Fergy I am sorry to hear this. It may be best to seek a second opinion from a medical professional, as we cannot say what it may be. How are you doing today?

Hi - thanks for getting back to me. I’ve tried to get a response from my GP but don’t get a lot of help. However now that my consultant has said that the cause is not PN related. I’m going to go back to my GP and demand help. The specialist suggested I should get a venular scan. Apart from all this I’m good and getting around.

No not my birthday. I quoted my age to give some idea where I am in life.
The swollen foot is puzzling. So far my GP has shaken his head and said it could be circulation. The artery going to my foot is pumping well.
    will keep you posted.

Hi - I have booked to see my GP in 3 weeks and will demand to see a specialist of some sort and get a vein scan. On my foot.
Apart from the PN and drop foot I’m okay. And still running charity days to raise funds for the ABF et al.
