pip hell. nearly one year and no nearer to a tribunal date in nottingham .all the paper work has conflicting dates on it,and reports from people vary as to whether one gets a grilling on the day,or there is any compassion. it's painful to exist on £73 quid a week,so hope is all that's left,but even that is no longer a motivation .

    I didn't want to leave this unanswered.

    Stick with having hope. On the upside after waiting nearly a year, surely there can't be that much longer to wait?

    Can you call the tribunal services and ask when you are likely to have your tribunal? or get someone to call on your behalf.

    I'm sorry to hear you've been waiting so long for a tribunal date. Please consider following @WF2k's advice and give them a call (or having a representative call on your behalf) to see if they can give you any indication of a date/where you are on the waiting list. 
    As for the grilling versus being shown compassion, do remember that everyone's experiences will be different and you are more likely to find accounts from negative experiences online because they are usually the ones that need help so are asking for advice. 
    As an aside, have you visited your local Citizens Advice at all? They may be able to do a benefits check up for you and see if there is any other financial help you may be entitled to while you wait.

    There are a lot of advice centres in Nottingham, including CAB, Welfare Rights, St Anns Advice Centre etc.
