    Hi,

Who told you that the carers allowance will stop?

Does your mother live alone or classed as living alone?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Unless your partner is claiming a qualifying benefit like PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care then your mum won't be entitled to claim the severe disability premium. This means if you claim carers allowance for looking after her then it won't affect her benefits.

No, you claiming carers allowance for your mum won't affect her benefits because it's your carers allowance claim, not hers.
