Anyone have experience of going to a second Tribunal?

My wife's first tribunal was a traumatic experience and the judge ruled she would not be awarded PIP for a number of reasons. We applied for the reasons for the decision and the transcript of the judge's notes. When we received them we applied to the Upper Tribunal because we felt their were valid reasons for questioning the legal procedure. The ruling was made that the first tribunal would be set aside and a new tribunal arranged at which the first panel members would not be participating. Has anyone had a similar experience and do you have advice to offer?
