Hi all, iv had a bit of advice regarding moving into a £450 per month house
I will receive a 1 bedroom rate housing benefit allowance at a rate of £90.90 a week
Iv been told that i will receive £400 of the £450 a month.
But 4x 90.90 = £360 a month not £400
Where does the other £40 come from then.
Thank you

Hi @needhelp2019, the £400 may be an average that is charged per month. This is due to not every month being exactly 4 weeks.

ok,thank you but i need to know exactly what HB will be paid, as i cant afford any more than the $50 shortfall
The house is £450 a month,
i just dont want to be paying over the $50 shortfall.

Hello, your HB is £90.90 per week. Times this by 52 devidr by 12 and that's what you're HB will be paid every four weeks so some months the payment will be near the first and again at the end of the month which is 4 weeks after your previous payment. My HB is covered bar for average 4 pence each month over a year.

so my rent totals @ £90.90 x 52 / 12 = £393.9 - so £394 per month.
So a £450 per month house will give me a short fall of £56 per month
