Tell the Government about your experiences of Statutory Sick Pay
No disabled person should feel stuck needing to work while unwell. But for some people, it’s a case of feeling stuck working through sickness, or coming financially unstuck as a result of sickness absence.
Nearly 30 years ago Statutory Sick Pay was introduced to protect employees from facing a financial penalty for being unwell. But the current sick pay system is out of date, inflexible and does not provide enough financial support for disabled people when facing a period of ill-health or a disability which can change over time.
Scope is responding to a Government consultation on Statutory Sick Pay (SSP). If you have had experiences of the sick pay system, we’d love to include your views in our response.
Tell the Government about your experiences of the sick pay system.
