Silver Ring Splints to stabilise fingers & thumbs helping many conditions

These are useful for many conditions; where there's hypermobility as in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome & Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder; to correct deformities found in Rheumatoid Arthritis; Osteoarthrosis; trigger finger/thumb; fractured fingers, etc.

I thought I'd mention this site as I bought one over 3 years ago for a painful recurrent trigger thumb problem, & wear it constantly as it keeps me painfree (as far as my thumb goes!). I bought a hammered silver ring, & what's nice is when I've received compliments from people thinking it's just a piece of jewelry.

The lady who makes them has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome & Rheumatoid Arthritis herself, so really understands about the problems people face with these, & other disorders, affecting various finger/thumb joints.

She also accepts orders through the NHS & Access To Work.

Hi @hEDgirl - I'd chat with Zomille, but I imagine it's get a physio to measure you & contact Zomille then invoice sent to NHS. See: https://www.ringsplints.com/features  I just measured myself, then emailed her, & received my silver ring splint very quickly, which I'd bought myself. Still wearing it all the time, & would be lost without it.

@Libby_Scope Yes, it is, moreso because it's something you can wear all the time. 

I would probably have to get bespoke, as the knackered/subluxed joint is where the Proximal Phalange meets the metacarpal, (top joint of the thumb),  highest up joint.  Also, I have  small hands and feet, size 2-3. and head. Haha.

@chiarieds I am grateful to have someone so knowledgeable on hand. Something I don't take for granted, but am thankful for.  Especially right now, with NHS appointments almost non existent.

@chiarieds I recon it will be a few months now before I get another physio appointment, but I will call the main Physio and enquire.  
You gave me an idea though. I have a long oval silver ring, if it fits comfortably on my thumb, it might prevent overextending temporarily, until I get something sorted out. Will try later and see.

Meanwhile, I'm still looking for the ideal fix for my right shoulder.  My have to push through with the resistance band exercises at a slower and gentler pace.
