Does the fashion industry cater for us?

The fashion industry is becoming more and more diverse and inclusive to everyone, with retailers beginning to cater for people of different sizes but the trend for inclusivity for people with disabilities is slow. I wanted to start a conversation on how companies can do more for us in terms of product design and innovation, to make our lives easier and make us feel more a part of todays society. What are your thoughts?

    Hello @emilyangold

I think it is a good thing. We need more disabled fashion models. How are you going to achieve this?

Maybe you also could try contacting businesses and companies to see if they need young passionate models with disabilities. There are specialist clothing companies as well. Approach them to find out if they need fresh new talent. Do you have anyone who can help or not? You need a plan in place.

This is a good idea for a discussion. Id like to see more smart fashions without button fastenings and fiddly zip pulls.
I live in leggings and elasticated waisted trousers. They look nice and casual but once in a while id like to look a bit smarter and well put together. Years ago i saw a company called 'wheely chicks' selling fashion for female wheelchair users. I dont know if they are still around though.
