    Hi,
Housing benefit isn't added to a PIP award.

Unfortunately they won't be able to start a claim for housing benefit because it doesn't exist for new claims unless you're already claiming SDP in another benefit. All areas are now a full UC area.

For this reason if they need to claim for help with any rent then they will need to claim Universal Credit and SDP doesn't exist under UC.

You say they don't claim any other benefits except PIP, do they work at all?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
