Lower back sharp pain - What to do next?

Hello all,

A month ago (actually more than that) I had a sharp lower back pain on the right side while performing an exercise at the gym. Long story short : I didn't go to the gym since that way, because while I'm able to run again, I still have this pain that radiates into the buttock and down the back of my right leg. And that is why I'm afraid to go to the gym again, because I'm sure the same will happen again because something is not right here.

I did a lumbar spine CT scan, but now I don't know which specialist should I take my results and explain my situation?

Welcome to the community @Zipvan, sorry to hear what has happened, it sounds painful! Were you referred for a CT scan or has it been done privately? Just to clarify, is your GP aware of what's happened?

Hi. Thank you! Yes I went to my GP and he decided to do that. The thing is, my GP is a really quiet guy and I don't like him at all, he is really strange because he barely talks and seems to be always in a bad mood. Besides that, I had to wait more than a month to get an appointment. That is why I'd like to go directly to a specialist this time.

That's understandable, have you tried speaking to a different GP?

No, not yet. Anywasy, I'd have to go to the private to speak to a different GP.

Is there not more than one GP at your surgery @Zipvan? You shouldn't need to go private to see another GP. 
You should be able to book an appointment with another GP or even formally request to change your GP.
