Hi @Kinmoth - Welcome to the community & thank you for joining. Do you know how long you'll have to wait before getting your guide dog? I do hope it's not too long, as that will make such a difference to you being able to get out more.

Hi @Kinmoth and a very warm welcome to the community. I'm registered partially sighted and am in the process of applying for a guide dog. How long have you been waiting so far?
If there is anything we can do to help then please let us know.Scope -
@Chloe_Scope I have been on the waiting list just under 6 months now , I started the application process and had my first meeting a year ago December but because of backlogs etc It took a bit longer to get assessments etc done
@Adrian_Scope no i haven’t heard of them at all ?@ch@chiarieds I was told a couple of days ago at my follow up that wouldn’t be til I was on the list at least 9 months currently I’m just under 6 months so hoping by the summer
will take a bit longer as I have to get training done at home and not a hotel because of my hearing have a severe hearing loss too -
Yeah I had my first phone call a few months ago so just waiting for my GP to sign it off to start the other assessments. It's good that they gave you an update. I hope training goes well and please let us know how you get on.
I found Sassy's blog really helpful as she shares what she does over training.Scope -
Look forward to reading more about both your training and the dog you get eventually. xx
