Change of circumstances review length?

Hi, im just looking for some advice i have had a change in my health so i needed to let DWP know as it will affect my PIP. i sent off the claim form in august they recieved it august 8th i still have not had any reply or any correspondance whether i need a reassesment or something. i have rang up multiple times and they just say it can take a few weeks for the asessor to get back to me. anty advice would be appreciated!
