Hi isn't it great to be claiming benefits from the government !
People's lives are taken away, as a result of having to be permanently pre occupied with wether or not you can still have the money ,whether you've got to prove you deserve it,whether you where believed, who can help you...when are you going to be asked to go and get assessed again ! Every day people are fearful, apprehensive anxious, suffering ,increasing any mental health issues they may have,  vast number of claimants receiving Benefits i think life is like this.
I claim PIP and ESA & UC . I have a personality disorder& other issues and Can't socialize.
But if there was a place in some factory where I could work alone id
do it ! As my life feels like the above .

spend a few days deciding what hobby or activity you love most then use it to start a business you dont have to meet customers sales on amazon and ebay keep you away from them. any business with time put in and fired by passion should succeed
    for example
    specialist brewery
    information leaflets
    wild plant seeds
    hand made kites
    art or craft products
    and hundreds more..............

Hello @dolescum1   Pleased to meet you.

Thank you for joining and sharing.

I am one of the team of community champions.  We guide, advise and help, support members of our community.

Please can I ask you mention a lot of issues are you receiving any support with your personality disorder.?

I am aware there is specific help out there and on line, please if I can help please get in touch.

Unfortunately this is not often the case, often a positivity feel good achievements are not often being cited as a success.

We have seen the down sided benefit stories but also the huge gains that this Charity has done justice and made huge steps in promoting good values.

I would also consider thinking about using a list create one your aims, goals and achievements.

Another one your skills, abilities, talents use them to inspire heal and motivative you in looking at positives.

I would also look at volunteering maybe charities such as those that deal with any health issues or conditions or disabilities you have.

Befriending and meeting others like you can be rewarding.

Benefits does have to be causing any problems or issues find some times yes we on benefits but it does not have to be like that.

Self employment looking at self improvement health and wellbeing courses give a lot of self esteem, just some ideas.

I always using a lot of the advice, guidance given to you for my own personal circumstances.

Please if I can help with any thing further please ask.

    Please take care.

    Hi .
    Thankyou for replying,
No I've not received any help with my disorder, I was diagnosed about 3 years ago, which I only saw in a letter from the psychiatrist which was sent to me. After she spoke to me. I don't really mix with People it makes me paranoid, and fills my head with stuff, so I then Can't do the things I need to do.I receive pip for needing prompting to mix with other's ,which is a joke, also because I find it hard to bother with getting dressed or washing a lot of the time . I go out when I have to for gas ,electric food etc, probably less than once a week but can be indoors for over a week. My doctor is nice she thinks I may certainty be on the autistic spectrum,I'm waiting for a test. I'm 60 now and has a life of alcohol and drugs did to trying to fit in and be around people, I can appear completely OK and sociable to a one to one person but I can't be in a group of people is conversing etc, I look like I'm okay ,this is what no one understands ,  they don't know what's going on inside my head, I feel watched ,judged, and I will go over any and all conversations i do have when I get home and feel judged then paranoid and all goes round in my head, so it's best i don't do it.I think my doctor thinks I'm faking all this .basically I feel no one believes most of what I say .I feel lost and without a character of personality it's like I am different with every person.. I need my solitude to get any peace in my life, I Can't consider even working in a second hand shop which I would like to do as it's not having to physically have discussions of stuff it's like I'm there to help the customers etc, but I can't because I would then lose my pip, as they regard that as me being OK .I'm stuck sorry iv e just written all this like an outpouring ,I used to be creative and worked in a second hand shop years ago, I wasn't on pip.and I managed somehow but now I am and last April it was cut by half as I messed up my assessment by rambling on about rubbish as I was nervous and the woman thought I seemed okay .sorry I don't think anyone can help.I don't drink and haven't for 4 years i take 600 mms of pregabalin a day. I'm sure none of this is appropriate ,and this is only the half of it ,thankyou for all suggestions and help .rob

It sounds really overwhelming @dolescum1. I'm really sorry. Have you had a look at what might be available to you locally in terms of mental health support?
