Disabled mum

Hi I've come to the point now I'm going to have to use a wheelchair but have a bit of a dilemma! 
I'm a mum to an 18 month old who doesnt yet walk. How do you other disabled wheelchair user mums get around with your little ones without having to have another adult with you ?? 

I would really appreciate your help, thank you !!

@Georgie Hello and welcome to the community, I am a community champion here at scope. I am a disabled mum too but fortunately my son is a teenager so I don't have your issue. Take a look at our disabled parents section there may be some advice on there. I don't know if its harder that he/she doesn't walk or when they can and your having to folow them everywhere. i hope sopme of our members can assist with your queryl

Hi @georgiea and welcome to the Community.  It is nice to meet you and thank you for sharing with us.  I'm not a mum myself so am unable to help you, sorry, but as @janer1967 says, please have a look at the disabled parents section of the forum for further help as I am sure someone will be able to best advise you there.  Wishing you well anyway and if there is anything we can help/support you with then please just let us know.

This is something I think about a lot too and have found some great support from amazing, creative people living with similar challenges in a Facebook group. It's wonderful to see real-life examples of how other people do these things! I'd definitely recommend joining if you use Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/378499872939885/

@Chloe_Scope I haven't managed to get a baby sling or carrier or a wheelchair or mobility scooter as of yet but have done a lot of reading as you suggest and it definitely comforts me to know that there are other people in my situation who are finding solutions
