Waiting for decision

I received a message saying they had received my written report on 28th January, and I would hear within 6 weeks. It is now coming up for 7 weeks? I am moving from DLA to PIP.
Just wondering how much longer it might take? Thanks.

Hi,There's no timescales, the time they tell you is nothing more than just a guide. If you live in the UK you can ring DWP to request a copy of the assessment report to be sent to you. This will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report. All you can do is wait but your DLA will continue until a decision's been made on the PIP.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Just for comparison @Mamabutts my son is dla to pip transfer
Late dec 2019: invited to apply for pip
8.1.20: post completed pip 2 back
14.1.20: confirmed scanned to their systems
22.2.20: receive 'we have all the information' letter
11.3.20: i call dwp to request copy of assessment report and they tell me i can expect to hear a final decision end April
13.3.20: assessment report arrives. Looks positive but wont know final result for a few week yet. -
Thank you for the info Anisty. I am anxious to know if I will qualify for PIP. Your message has reassured me. I won't give up hope.! I will let you know my results. Hope your son has a successful outcome.?

@Mamabutts i have been really anxious too - this forum has been a lifesaver. Looks like my son will get enhanced on both and he had paper based assessment too so it has gone very well.
Hope your son has a good outcome too -

Unfortunately, there could potentially be further delays with decisions now due to the Covid19 pandemic. All you can do is wait.
