Hi, my name is Steph,

I work for the charity Patient Safety Learning. I am writing to personally ask you for your support for an important campaign we have launched to help keep all patients safe during the pandemic.

How is the coronavirus outbreak affecting patients without the virus?
We are working hard to identify how the pandemic is impacting people who do not have the virus but are critically ill, or at risk of becoming so if they don’t receive the treatment and care they normally would.

Our aim is to identify gaps that may be forming in the system so we can highlight these to the relevant bodies and make sure these patients remain safe from avoidable harm during the pandemic. We also want to identify any safety solutions that have already been put in place locally, and are working. We will share these solutions widely to help others learn from successes and keep patients safe.

How can you help?
We need to hear from patients, to capture their valuable insight and concerns on how this is affecting them. We need people to get in touch, share their experiences and help us understand who is most at risk. We need people to tell us if they are having difficulty accessing critical services (e.g. tests, appointments, support, medication) and explain how this could impact them if not resolved.

If you feel that you, or someone you know can help us, please do get in touch by contacting me directly.

Best wishes
