I receive housing benefit but I pay the bedroom tax for one room. This month I have only been paid half of my housing benefit entitlement. Before I phone to ask as to why, does anyone know if this is normal because of the new tax year. I don’t recall it happening before. I just don’t fancy hanging on the phone all day. TIA

    Hi,

Unfortunately, we couldn't tell you the reason why you've not received all your housing benefit. You'll need to ring your local council tomorrow morning when they open.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
