Hi.
I have just signed up, so this is my first time on here.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
I suffer from spinal stenosis and wondered if anyone else out there have the same, or have to deal with similar problems?
I would like to hear from you if you do.
Regards to all out there.

Hi Chiarieds
Thanks for the reply. My wife is American and I have two step kids, both still in the U.S. While we were last in Dallas for a visit my (Step grandson) knowing how much I like fantasy books, films and Dragons, took pity on me having no middle name and gave me that one. I now use it for things like this. My real name is Alan.
Thanks for the info. I will take a look.
Stay safe
Alan

Hi @Dragonslayer I hope you’re okay. I am 22 and was diagnosed with a bulging disc at 18. I had a discectomy on back in 2018. I don’t know much about your condition, but from a quick Google, the symptoms seem very similar to mine. I have recently written a blog post talking about my experience, I wonder if you’d like to read it? I’m not sure how your diagnosis affects you, but mine impacted my life quite badly - so I’ve tried to write this blog to make other people in similar situations feel less alone.Lissy

Hi Lissy
I'm fine, thanks for asking.
I am 67 and after a few years of having pain in my back and legs. I was sent for a MRI scan in March 2019 and was then told I had Spinal Stenosis. My lower spine is apparently 'squashing' a main nerve. Not only does this give me back pain, that travels down my legs, but makes it hard for me to stand upright, or stand for a long period. It also makes walking painful and hard and I cant walk for long. I use a crutch and have a frame to help, but it affects all aspects of my life. This February I finally got to see a specialist who told me he could operate to free the nerve. I went through the pre - assessment for the operation and was booked for another MRI and was hoping to have the operation by April. And then Covid came along and put a stop to all of it. So I wait to see what will happen next.
I would love to read your blog. Please send the info.
Thanks for Writing

I’m glad to hear you’re okay. I’m really sorry to hear that Alan, that sounds really awful, and very similar to what I’ve experienced. Hopefully you’ll be all booked in for the operation as soon as COVID is over! You have to type the following link into Google to view my blog:

I hope you find it helps you slightly.Alicia
