Hi,
I assume you're on income based ESA?
A regular pension could affect that depending on how much the payment would be each week.
If you're taking it as a lump sum, you are allowed up to £6k in savings without any problem. Between £6k-£16k you would lose some ESA (£1 per week for every £250 saved).
I hope that helps but feel free to give us a little more info for some more specific advice.

Thank you, so can I assume that it would also interfere with a rent rebate, plus also a community charge rebate??, also I i were to die before taking a private pension does the full pension go into your estate if you have left a will or is it only a percentage that goes in. Also if you live with a partner but are not yet married does that have an effect on the out come.
