Hi!
Does anyone have any views/experience they could share about building websites with accessible tools? I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has advice on the accessibility of the most common building platforms and how they find the experience of the user interface to be from an administrator/editor/site manager perspective.
Currently looking at building a new website where both external and internal accessibility is key.
Any thoughts welcome!

What kind of website are you designing @laura222? It might be best to create a survey on surveymonkey that you could post on here instead. Then members on here could tell you their suggestions and ideas and tips too.

This is a really interesting thread. As a keen (but untalented) web designer, I look forward to seeing what people think!
On a slightly related note, there's some guidance on designing websites with accessibility in mind on the designing for disability: quick do’s and don’ts page of our Big Hack site.Community Manager

Thanks @Adrian_Scope! That guidance is really useful. That one's going in my resources list.
Great idea @April2018mom, I'll look into doing that.

Also, have I put this post in the right place? Is there a 'Digital Accessibility' group? If not, maybe there could be ;p

There isn't, but that's an interesting idea @laura222. For now I think here's fine though.Community Manager
