Couple of things I really need advice about.

I have asked these two questions to Citizens advice/ Age UK/Staffordshire and Lichfield cares and many others over the phone the past few weeks but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

1: Is there a way paid out of my funds or free to get a financially aware person to Visit me and help me automate bills etc. as much as possible, Then help me plan a budget/savings plan to amass the money I need to adapt my 1 bed flat to my obvious needs, and then check on me once a month say to see if I'm managing to do it?

2: Recently found out on top of my other illnesses I now have diabetes as well to contend with, just with pills atm, phoned up Staffordshire cares to ask for a reassessment, gave details etc, said they would phone back.  They did and I was told that the lady I spoke to's manager had told her to tell me that there wasn't anything else they could do for me and that was that, a bit nervous about phoning again but I think I should as maybe this will help me get my house done a lot quicker and make it a lot safer from me..what do you think I should do?

Hi @JohnEmile Welcome to the community in answer to your question I think you will have to fund your own help with finances,

I would try speak to adult social services or maybe your GP to see if they know of any such support. Do you know any friends or family that could help. It needs to be a trusted person as this could make you open to being scammed

As for number 2 I have had diabetes for over 25 years and I am now insulin dependant but apart from making sure you take your medication there isnt really any care you would need . you should have a regulart diabetic review with your specialist nurse and also an annual eye test at the hospital diabetic eye screening

Hopw this helps take care and get back t me if I can help anymore

Thank you all.  I feel I should clarify that the diabetes is only one thing on a increasing list, obviously I'm embarrassed to list the whole thing, but I can say that I'm rapidly losing mobility and seem to be getting a bit vague, so I'm trying to get everything set up or in motion anyway in case I cannot do it myself later. thanks again :)

    Hi @JohnEmile

Have you tried talking to those you bank with? Most banks, building societies and credit unions will have staff members who can assist you with most of the things you have mentioned. Not sure if they will commit long term to contacting you on a monthly basis but worth trying them first.

As an individual I stood alone.
As a member of a group I did things.
As part of a community I helped to create change!
