Yesterday, 19th August, was world photography day!
I know we have some budding photographers amongst us and I would love to see your favourite photos.
Taking photos has always been a big hobby of mine. However, since losing most of my sight I have actually found it more enjoyable than ever! I love to be able to capture details that I can no longer see and play around with shapes and shadows.
What kind of photos do you like to take? Let us know in the comments below!

I hope you like these ones of my little friends?

@RAwarrior
what a cutie. Mind you I think he's getting ready to punch you on the nose and if he could talk he'd be saying in a gangster voice "you looing at me?" -
@CJ61
Thank you very much?
I regularly feed a group of squirrels in the park and she is one of them. I have posted lots of photos in the wildlife thread if you haven’t seen them already. She holds on to the fence waiting for me to feed her??

@RAwarrior
That squirrel looks like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. I love them!! You get so close up, they must know you are their friend. Keep them coming!

The crowd staring at the crowd - tickles me!“This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”

Yes I do get very close to the squirrels and I feed this one by hand. She is really friendly but cheeky and she always does that particular pose on the fence when she is waiting for me to feed her.?? -
@leeCal, the crowd staring at the crowd is great! Just a great concept!
