So many Barrys, so little time -
Hi Barry welcome to the communityScope
Senior online community officer -
My partner gave up a very good paid full time job a few yrs back to care for me, with major health issues in wheelchair. It's disgusting he now gets 9p a hour to do this. I am a vulnerable lady that's been physically and mentally abused all my 51 yrs. I wanted to get direct payments, to help, but they say I can't? I only want him to care for me, not strangers, I am so afraid of. They say I need someone to be here day and night to prove I need this help?? I have lifelong problems with my health that's getting worse not better. Without my partner to care I would have died . They can see from my records I'm deteriorating slowly, but now we got to move away to tiny home, as can't afford to stay here. And I'm 8n electric wheelchair, and need space to manoeuvre. But there's no help.
