Claiming pension whilst in support group.

Hi everybody I do hope I find you well (relatively).
I have a financial question for anyone who has been in this situation.
I have just been put into the support group and would like to know if I can claim my occupational pension at the same time without it affecting my esa/pip/uc (or whatever they are calling it today).
I can remember that in the forms they do ask if you are claiming or waiting to hear from an occupational pension, I fail to see what difference this would make or maybe it does have some bearing on your benefits.
Please could anybody advise me or tell me where I can find this information.
Many many thanks
Brian.

Hi Brian
Your pension has no effect on PIP
If your ESA is contribution based then the first £85 pw will be ignored.
I am unsure but I think then £1 is deducted for every £2 I will get back to you on this.
Your pension may also affect HB and CT, if applicable you must notify them
CR
Be all you can be, make every day count. Namaste
