If I have to go to Tribunal and am awarded high mobility I am considering buying myself a car. I feel that I cannot go through all this again in the future. I feel really unwell mentally and physically. Right at the end of my assessment the assessor said to me 'so you can walk around your house and up and down steps to your car. Because I already told her of my falls in the house and down stairs also my problem with fibromyalgia and walking, I just said yes. Now I am worrying that I did wrong in doing so. Did I do wrong?

when you get the report you should be able to see how the HCP scored you in each descriptor

Dear Charlene
You have done nothing wrong whatsoever! Never ever doubt yourself in this situation. The only people ( I use the term 'people' lightly) who are WRONG are the monsters....yes that's a better description....who are making up these rules/laws/lies etc etc. -
Walking is supposed to be measured outdoors using pavements and kerbs. And ability to use steps, for some reason is not considered.

And steps are a killer. My mum fell down her stairs, I found her and she died a few days later! When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Lilleybelle if steps don't count in walking then surely it can't be used against you! When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Dear Charlene
I am so sorry about what happened to your mum. My heart goes out to you!
This whole benefit system is designed to make us feel self doubt. This uncaring government want us to feel unworthy and to give up. Try as best you can to keep going and not to allow these monsters to win! Keep strong x -
Thank you Debken, some days are better than others. Onward and upwards. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
