Benefits for depression

Hello everyone, I am hoping that someone may be able to help me. My daughter who is 37, is returning to England after living on and off in China for the past 4 years. She has bad depression and is moving back to live with me and her Dad. She is going to have to start getting herself better, but in the mean time, are there any benifits that she might be able to claim until she can get back on her feet and get a job?
