Hi my brother is autistic and I'm trying to figure out what he means with his actions as he is non verbal some of the actions are placing his finger into the palm of his hand and using his thumb to tap each finger if someone know what this means please let me know as I feel really bad not knowing what he is on about

Hi Kieran, is he defiantly trying to tell you something? he could be doing it as a coping mechanism

Hi @kieran1411, how are you doing?

Hello Kieran, I would do a really thorough observation using the ABC method - A = antecedent, B = behaviour & C = consequence. In short, what happens before, during and after your little one has done their sign. You will then get an idea of what they are trying to tell you. Let us know how you're getting on.
