Hi @willie140 and a warm welcome to the community. Glad to have you with us.
This is a question for one of our benefits advisors, I think, so please bear with us and they will get back to you.
Warmest best wishes,

Hi willie and welcome
you should report any change of circumstance immediately to the DWP, however if you are in hospital for less than 28 days it should make no difference
For ESA
https://www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowance/change-of-circumstances
For PIP
https://www.gov.uk/pip/change-of-circumstances
I hope you get better soon, please stay in touch and let us know if we can help in any way

Be all you can be, make every day count. Namaste
