Hi, Looking for some advice on PIP, I was refused on the mandatory reconsideration so next step is appeal tribunal. How do I go about getting the process started, do I just fill out forms and send back if so which forms do I need or do I need to contact them. Would much rather just send forms back like I did for the mandatory reconsideration as I get very worked up over phone calls. Also any advice on what I would need to include or help would be great, Thanks

Hi,You need to fill out the SSCS1 form and attach a copy of the MR decision letter to it and send it to the Tribunal. Don't send it to DWP and don't forget the MR decision letter to go with it, otherwise the Tribunal will refuse your request. You have 28 days to do this from the date of the MR decision.Download and print a copy here or visit your local CAB for the form.More info here about Tribunals and appeals.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thank you, I have had a bit of a read up and if I'm reading it right I should of been sent 2 copies of the mandatory reconsideration letter, I only have 1. If I send if the original one and make a copy it for myself will that be ok or will I need another original one later on. Thanks

Yes, you should have had 2 copies. I'm sure it will be fine if you did that, just keep the copy one for yourself. Good luck.
