Hi All- Looking for a sturdy foldable walking stick to take to Africa in December. I"m based in Richmond- can pick up

Hi @MarkAshby1961 and welcome to the community! We can't sell things on the online community but members may be able to advise on the type of stick that they use. There is such a range of sticks that can be found online and something should hopefully suit your needs

Hi, I’ve found the best way to get a good stick is to shop around, I go to outdoor shops, countryside shops and even places like shoe repair places like timpson do walking sticks. Then you can get a feel for it, there’s nothing worse than an aid that doesn’t suit you or feel comfortable. I have two different sticks to suit different situations, my ‘country walking stick’ a really sturdy wooden pole, that will take all my weight if needs be and my everyday stick - a lightweight one from a hiking shop.
