Looking for advice on finding the right secondary school for our daughter in London

Our daughter is nine and attends a mainstream secondary school in NW London.  She gets around with walking poles indoors and K walker in playground and is keeping up with her class academically, but requires a lot of TA support and reinforcement at home to do this. I am looking for a fully accessible secondary school with small, mixed ability classes and a gentle, nurturing approach to education.  Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for your post. Just to clarify, your daughter is nine and attends secondary school? 
    I would suggest contacting your local Parent Partnership Service, they may also be called Independent Advice Support Service. Their details should be on the Council website under Local Offer. They are specialist SEN advisers who are trained to support parents and they will be able to guide you regarding local schools, your child's statement or Education, Health and Care Plan and much more.  Your school SENco should also be able to point you towards them. Also, as a parent myself, I have found it extremely useful to attend school open evenings with my daughter. It really helps you get a feel of the atmosphere of a school and you can talk to staff and students. Hope that helps!
