Hi @marionward5, and a warm welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear about your pain, that sounds like a really debilitating thing to live with. Many of our members also live with chronic pain, and they'll hopefully be in touch to share their tips.

Hi @marionward5
I too have a chronic pain from fibromyalgia and i also have cfs. At times i felt like i was walking on broken bones so much so i insisted on an xray but they werent broken. I do two things to get me out and about to ease pain and reserve some ebergy for other things. I use a power wheelchair for covering great distances such as shopping malls etc. And i use crutches for shorter distances. Chroni pa8n can make crutch use d8fficult so i imvested in a pair of smart crutches were you can put them at any angle thats comfortable i use them at full so i am using my forearms to operate them. They are worth checking out. Just google smart crutch. I purchased my own power chair because i could not self propel due to the pain. Thats a big investment i know but i dont regret a penny of it. But you could just use shopmobility and most large supermarkets have scooters.
I understand this is not something that everyone 8s comfortable with. However my views are. If i sit home and do nothing then i am in pain and if i go out there and try to have a life i am in pain so its a no brainer really and these aids help me to do that. Good luck whatever you decide.
