Hi I’ve just put in for chid tax credits because he’s my grandson and he’s come too live with me now how much are tax credits and how much do you get weekly please

    You can only claim tax credits for a young person in full time non advanced education if they're under 20 years old and your area isn't a full universal credit area. If it's a full UC area and you don't already claim tax credits then you won't be able to claim this. Check your area here. http://ucpostcode.entitledto.co.uk/ucdate

    If it's not a full UC area then how much you can receive will depend on circumstance. Pop your details into a benefits calculator like this one.
