Feeling anxious

hi I am Michelle, I am mum to Joshua who is 15. Josh has severe delayed development, autism, hydrocephalus. He uses a wheelchair to get around and uses compass on his iPad to communicate. We live in greater Manchester. Josh is having a difficult time, a lot of self harm due to frustration.
He is due to go to hospital again tomorrow for more test to see if his shunt is working for his condition hydrocephalus. I am feeling anxious. He had a new shunt valve on 23rd October and since then he has been super clingy to me. If I leave the room he bashes his head. I use the visual timer but he still gets upset. All he wants to do is lay in bed all day and watch tv in his room. Im worried that the hospital will send him home after his mri scan and say nothings wrong but something is wrong. He usually likes school, going out to the park, shopping or playing games. But all he wants to do is lay down.
