Hi @steve51 and good afternoon! I'll try to!
I do need some help on processing my emotions because I got shouted at today for not meeting expectations even though I did not know what was expected of me! It made me angry and guilty so I bit myself again in order to stop me from crying or getting angry at the person which could backfire badly. I don't like it when I do that.

Who shouted at you? I hope you are safe and feeling okay?

Richard_Scope it was my mum. I tried to get out of the car to open the door of the house and the only way I could put me in the way of Mum and then I put the door open too wide when she didn't tell me what she was doing in the car so I though she was getting out shopping.
I am safe though and am okay.

    Good morning @Dylan246
Really pleased to hear that you are safe, thanks for letting me know that. You are a valued member of our community and we are here for you. Lots of us understand what it's like to deal with feelings of frustration and anger. There are some very good resources on the MIND website that might help.

Thank you Richard_Scope I will take a look at the MIND website. I really appreciate what you said as I struggle with feelings of loneliness either on my own or with other people.

    Hi @Dylan246

    Good Afternoon!!!!!

Ok shall we make a start???

We need your to start from the beginning!!!!

By starting at that point means that we can both cover the things required.

Please please let me know if I can help????

Hi @steve51. It's quite hard to start from the beginning because I've never really been able to deal with my emotions properly. I think I've taught myself to believe that if I attempt to express myself assertively then it might come across as aggressive and I could hurt my relationships. I'm sorry if it this sounds vague, I have never really asked for advice about this.

    Hi @Dylan246

    “Sorry”

I am very very happy in starting from where you are okay with????

Please please let me know now you feel & then we can see how things go from there??

I feel okay right now but often when I am faced with confrontation I freeze up and struggle to speak whilst going bright red. It is like my body is seized up and I can't speak in case I say something wrong.

    Hi @Dylan246

Thats great news, yes I am the same.

This seems to be quite common to be honest !!!!!!

I'm glad someone understands that but I would like to know how to respond differently that is healthy but not aggressive. How do you deal with it?
