Hi all,

I am looking to hire some home help as my daughter is now 16 months old and does not yet have head control. Has anyone else followed a similar route and if so could you pass on any tips / advice? I would be very grateful to hear of others experiences.

Wishing you wonderful weekends,

Thanks Pippa. The idea of handing over care to someone else is pretty daunting but I think I need a break every now and again or I'll burn out. To start off with I'm just looking for someone to help me but I think longer term it might be healthy to work towards being able to leave my daughter with someone else albeit for a couple of hours.

Good to speak with you again. I did some research yesterday evening and I have found a website that I believe would be a good starting point when looking for a suitable person to help with your little girl. Childcare.co.uk has a section for people with special needs experience. I am happy to help further if you need me.
