It's National Siblings Day! Unfortunately I do not have any siblings but growing up with my cousins, it felt like I did. Now that we are much older and some of them have their own families; we do not see each other as much. I will never forget my older cousin trying to show me how to wash dishes, let's just say the kitchen ended up looking like a huge bubble bath- sorry mum!
Please share your stories about growing up with your siblings or children. Do they get along? Any funny stories?

I have two younger sisters and a younger brother. We can all agree that little sisters can be annoying right? Well on this one particular day one of my sisters was at her annoying best, so me and a friend of mine decided to peg her to the washing line by her ponytails as a joke. As we did this and pretended to walk away, our pet goat Rocky started to eat her dress as she hung on the line! The noise attracted my mum's attention and needless to say I was put in place quite quickly.
You'll be pleased to know that I am now a good big brother and couldn't imagine life without my siblings

My family situation's a little bit unusual I suppose. I have two older siblings, who are both almost old enough to be my parents (don't tell them I said that!) and two younger siblings who are the same age as my kids. I guess you could say I'm the definition of a middle child, but it didn't really feel like it growing up!
I didn't spend too much time around any of them as a child, so no particularly funny stories spring to mind. However, my other half is one of 11, so I'm always being regaled with tales from her childhood. One of the only ones I can probably repeat here is about what was affectionately called 'The Slipper Game'. This of course is where you blindfold someone and shove a slipper in their face (obviously!) They then have to guess who it belongs to based on its delightful odour. Let's just say a certain somebody's slipper made their siblings lose their lunch!Community Manager
