Hiya everyone,
I have started blogging my experience of being a mother to a beautiful girl with special needs to help other young mums or first time mums who are struggling to find anyone going through similar experiences, but also as a coping mechanism for myself. I’ve made a new post today. Please check it out and feel free to share it to anyone and everyone who may be able to relate or may be looking for support xx https://embtp.home.blog/2019/06/05/the-back-story-part-1-pregnancy/?fbclid=IwAR1sC0481JJxiM463NDgwsTfAUBaqHkoWAH99zbXtnty-dW1UdxVHdVawsA
thanks xx

What do you write about?
-
@April2018mom Mostly my daughter. She has cerebral palsy. I’ve only just started last week. My first was about the doctors saying my daughter would never work. The second was about the positives when parenting my daughter and the last one i wrote was explaining the pregnancy, me doing it alone, and how we got to her being born and what went wrong. The next one will be about the birth x

Hi @esthermb1996! Thank you for sharing this with us! I'll be sure to give it a read Like your daughter, I have CP and have written a blog for the past 6 years about my experiences of going through GCSE's to university. I've found the writing process really helpful over the years and I hope it helps you to process things that are happening. I am sure the content will be really beneficial for others as well

Hi @esthermb1996
Your story is so emotional I really feel for what you went through, but I am sure it will be so beneficial to other mums and dads in similar situations. You are right that things like that are not often discussed so it is very brave of you.
I look forward to reading the next part of your story
Take care,
Beverley
