Hello @sasha122 and welcome to the community!
Can I ask which ESA group you were in before? Was it the support group or WRAG? Your carer shouldn't have any work commitments and be in the no-work group, so shouldn't really be getting phoned by Universal Credit. Are they receiving the carer's element of UC? It might be worth them checking their commitments, which should be easy to find on their Universal Credit account.

    Hi,

As you were previously in the Support Group for ESA then this award should have been transferred to UC when you moved across. DWP should have honoured that decision and placed you in the relevant group which is limited capability for work related activity (LCWRA) You need to ring ESA to speak to a case manager to ask them to transfer your ESA award to UC.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @sasha122, are you getting anything towards your housing on your UC claim?
Did your ESA end because you were found fit for work or was it just when you claimed Universal Credit? Do you have any work commitments on your UC claim currently?

Do Income Support tell your friend why they're calling? I am confused why you were forced to switch but your friend remained on Housing Benefit and Income Support.

Sorry for all the questions, I want to be sure I know all the facts before I advise! :)

Hello @sasha122, you should definitely have had your support group transitioned. Give them a call when they open (or ask your carer to) and explain that when you moved on to Universal Credit you were in support group ESA and believe that this should have been transitioned. They open at 8am this morning and it’s easier to get through earlier in the day.
Let us know how you get on. :)

As you've been claiming UC for a year was that home visit a work capability assessment?

As you were previously in the Support Group for ESA then in your UC then you should have been claiming an extra £336.20 per month in your UC payment, slightly less before April 2019.

Unfortunately your PIP award won't qualify you for anything else because the premiums don't exist on UC.

You just need to wait for ESA to send across the details, i have no idea how long it will take. Once that is done they should pay you all your backdated money.

If the home visit you recently had was a work capability assessment then this means the report has been returned and it's waiting for a decision maker to make a decision on your recent work capability assessment.

Unfortunately PIP and LCWRA are different. People claim PIP and work.

You can ring DWP to request a copy of the assessment report to be sent to you, this will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report. Good luck.
