got a assessor coming out today, he's a surveyor assessor, so will at least say if it's insured as if he finds it wear and tear, then no it's not, and i'll have to pay, if he finds it storm damage, i'm covered and they will pay and do the repair, so will know by the end of to day, hopefully

roof has one cracked tile, which is classed as wear and tare and isn't covered under the policy but bathroom ceiling is, so take away my access for a claim and add in i have to pay also for the cost of the tile on the roof, it's cheaper if i don't make a claim and get someone to do both minor repairs myself, so you learn something every days, always take out accidental cover as well on home and contents to cover what you would guess as already covered but isn't lol
