Plans for the weekend?

What does everyone have planned for the weekend?
My eldest is getting back from a school trip in the early hours of Saturday morning and I’ll have to wait up to go collect her, so I think Saturday will be as quiet as I can make it while we all catch up on sleep!

I don’t have anything planned yet but the kids have been hinting for a Harry Potter Movie Marathon. Hoping to couple that with popcorn and pizza (and my phone and housework as I can’t concentrate for one movie let alone multiple 😂).

How old is your daughter @poppy123456? That sounds like a lovely Sunday!
I hope you’ll tell us all about your Father’s Day treat @Richard_scope, what are the parties for?
What is your workshop @CockneyRebel?
@Chloe_Scope is your blog public, can other people read it? What do you blog about? I like the idea of blogging but my thoughts are a bit too dull 🤣
I love how organised you are @Spiceman! What sort of grilled breakfast do you have?? I always plan to make Saturday our big breakfast day and wake up too lazy so settle with cereal 😂
Hope you get lots of sleep on Saturday @Adrian_Scope!!

Its a big weekend for me!
Off to Keswick on Sunday, staying at the Keswick Country House Hotel to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary (where have all those years gone).
Because of unsettled weather, will be doing lots of bus journeys to various lakes ( Buttermere, Ulswater, Grasmere and Crummock water), with of course creamed scones around 11 am.
I still feel like I’m 21 though! My psychiatrist always agrees with me.
Having a mental illness means how am I today. If I am good then make food for the freezer or fridge.
I have no one to rely on use the diary add a planner. Done this for around a very long time.
With out a structure falls apart the day the systems I have set up. Have failsafe and backup systems all the time.
For example forgetful memory so have post it notes every where. Another one. We have all done this run of loo roll or tissues or bin bags.
Products for cleaning. Another one.
So always buy these in bulk save money either on line or look for offers supermarkets.
Have to. Having anxiety some days really bad depression. Reason I love the community here is to pass on these tricks, tips and time savers to you all.
By the way you can get a lot of the advice from your wellbeing community health unit who runs lots of courses to benefit your wellbeing, health.
Very informative, useful.
I use a pan found on AMAZON another excellent thing I have done. Signed up to PRIME for £7.99 a month get lots of ideas and time savers.
New grill pan has three compartments one for grilling Sausages, Black pudding anything like that Bacon.
Other two for either Eggs scrambled omelettes do that every time. Use two Eggs. Milk and my Egg spice mix.
Bake Beans create my own. Buy Beans many in water add any tomato sauce you have in the fridge. I do all the time. So helps to use that up.
In every Culture have a Breakfast with beans we use Bake Beans. In other countries use Black Beans or other like Pinto.
Add in spices to your taste. Chilli and Spices are used to help digestion.
I buy some with spices already in. Mixed ones . Beans are low in fat help with digestion, plus associated problems. Good for low blood pressure helps with energy.
Also helps to fill you up. Something I know am an advocate of what budgets are tight.
Add to that Eggs all the worlds Breakfast most of them love Eggs. Or contain Sausages in one form or another it is buying the right kind of Sausages.
In my case Chicken ones or Pork spicy with more than 70 or 80 % sausage content. Some or not.
Buy rubbish Sausages meal be terrible. Do not mind spending on my Breakfast . This is the good start to the day.
Does not have to be expensive. Have and do eat Cereal usually midweek but make must share. My own or buy one with a low sugar content.
Some supermarkets have muesli with nuts, seeds, dried fruit great but watch the sugar, and salt content frightening. Some others.
If not Cereal use Bread have Beans on Toast or Poached or Scrambled Eggs with Bacon smoked grilled.
Hope that has given some inspiration and helped answer your question.
Pleasure to talk to you.
Please can I ask what do you like for a breakfast?
Take care.
@thespiceman
I still don’t know how to change a fuse or a plug (let alone the other stuff you mentioned!) and rely heavily on internet tutorials for most things!! 🙈
I saw on Good Morning Britain recently that a massive percentage of “millennials” admitted that they would hire someone to change a lightbulb for them as they didn’t know how. It’s sad how society has changed. Really love the sound of your workshops!!
My mom also spent time teaching me how to carry out simple repairs, street safety, the importance of laundry etc. It seems that most people today would call in someone else to do the task for them instead. One more thing I had to learn was map reading. My mom also made me solve problems myself and instilled in me the importance of communication and teamwork skills too.
The two parties were birthday parties for my wife's friends. My Father's Day treat was a massive roast dinner followed by a Jaffa Cake Cheesecake!!! My daughter bought it out of her pocket money too.

The Jaffa Cake Cheesecake sounds amazing and how sweet is it she bought it with her own money?? I bet you felt very lucky! Hope the parties were good

I write about my experiences of having cerebral palsy and being partially sighted. Until recently it was under the name of Life as a Cerebral Palsy Student as I documented my educational journey from GCSE's to university
I'm sure you'd write a great blog!

How many of the Harry Potter movies did you make it through in the end @Hart86?
And how did the test drive go @Poppy123456?
Scope
We watched Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 and then The Amazing Spider-Man 1. Apparently we have to get through them all before the new one is out in a couple of weeks 🙈
Apparently it doesn’t matter that they have nothing to do with each other 🤷♀️
Much more watchable than Harry Potter.

Plan for sleep not get stressed . Have relaxation before bedtime. Not have the worries and anxieties .
I know never easy.
I also may I advise a suggestion make meals with pulses and beans and certain those foods that contain tryptophan.
These are foods that are be able to send you to sleep an enzyme. In the foods.
These include Pasta whole meal . After having a Pasta meal feel sleepy.
Plus anything like Turkey or Chicken . Lean meat.
Lettuce sandwich know to work I believe as is Milk in the microwave not hot just a few seconds. With some Honey stirred in to the mug.
Hope that helps.
My weekend did a Sunday Sweep and tidy up prepare the week ahead. Meal plans.
Some TV and some listening to the Radio. On here a little while .
Take care.

After than need to sign up to go swimming I have been putting it of for a while now, that should be fun
When was the last time you went swimming? This is something I have wanted to get back into but keep putting it off...
Online Community Officer
Last time I have been "swimming" while on holiday in Spain in Easter. The water was still so cold but nevertheless I went into the pool. dont need to say what happened next 😅
I miss swimming at sea that was wonderful haven't done that since I was a teenager.
What has been putting me off is being tired after work and not finding someone to go with, I like people's company but that's not an excuse I can tell my neurologist, I have strict orders to go 😁
What about you? when did you last swim?
Church and music theory lesson on Sunday
Had to leave work early on Tuesday due to pain in my arm and visited the local accident and urgent care unit. Xray showed bone degeneration and calcific tendonitis. Anti inflamatory tablets upped again. Few days working from home and the pain levels have dropped enough to cope with, plus an improvement in the range of movement.
Fortunately I have a real diamond of a boss. Working from home is an acceptable option, however is generally discouraged but my boss worked with HR so that it got put in as part of my accommodations to help me cope with work and sustain my job. She also fought my side when they did not want me to use the raised desktop I bought for use at work to make life easier. Again they have accepted this as an agreed accommodation between my boss and myself, and just waiting for IT to set it up with the double screens and for a check that it will not cause further harm. This is due to happen next week, so a bit concerned.
So main plan is to catch up on some reading and some binge watching on programs I have been meaning to catch up on for a while.

It'll be the first time I won't be going with my PA, and will be using assistance when transferring trains. I've got two connections and one of these is only 8mins. Just keeping my fingers crossed.
