Can you get access to work if you volunteer?

I would like to volunteer at a scope shop to get an idea of shop work. my problem is getting there. can I get access for work for it?

Unfortunately, Access to Work is only for paid employment and not volunteering. I have attached a link below for more information about this service.

Most charities provide expenses for their volunteers.
I have checked with Scope and they do pay travel and meal expenses, to it’s volunteers.
Speak to the local Scope shop, that you intend to volunteer at, to confirm same.
