Do you need wheelchair insurance if you drive an electric wheelchair

Hi @Globster.... As far as I know it's not compulsory to have insurance but for £65 per year to cover breakdowns, theft, and accidents it is highly recommended. For the sake of £1.25 per week why would you not get it? .
Best wishes.

Hi @Globster
There is no legal requirement for insurance for electric wheelchairs. However it is recommended by the government that you do get it.

Hello @Globster.
Wheelchair insurance is always a good idea.
I use this provider.
The insurance policy is in my name even though my son is the one who needs a wheelchair.
