Counselling Interview

Steps2Change are going to email me with the result, but hopefully I'll get back into counselling. Also they have an employment adviser who will be contacting me. I think I would be best going back into self employment but dont know what doing. Although I loved the pet care/gardening work I did it just never made any money and was always slow, especially in the winter. It just hasn't worked, working with other people. I'm not a 'team player's for one thing, and have always had trouble holding down a job, so hoping - new year, new self employed job eventually. Hope the employment advisers got some ideas.....

That all sounds very positive @Franstrahan! I hope you get the result from Steps2Change quickly and the outcome is what you want. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks Adrian. Yes I've sort of made the decision that self employments probably the best way. Just need to find something that works. -
Hi, do you mean becoming a counsellor or being counselled for employment?

Just had a letter from counsellors today. They will not be taking me back for counselling as I've only recently been discharged and I'm not suitable at this stage for counselling, they say. They suggest I look for a support group for my autism.
So they seem to be suggesting the autism is causing the depression and anxiety?
Dont really understand this as the last time I spoke to the counsellor she said I had depression and high anxiety. And I'm well aware of it.
Where to go from here. Which is why I'll be checking out the horses. -
Hi @Franstrahan, this must be frustrating hear this!
This tool might be helpful, The National Autistic Society has a directory of services around the country. You can type in your postcode to find out what it near to you.

It was useful, that link Chloe. Found a group fairly close by, and I've emailed them. -
