Christmas Day dinner for one

I'm actually going to try something adventurous, for me anyway, coz I dont like cooking, but this, using slow cooker and microwave.
Chicken breast, carrots, potatoes in slow cooker.
Microwave sausages, honey roast parsnips and chestnuts in microwave.
I may go without sprouts as seem to remember they take forever to cook.
The honey roast parsnips are supposed to be oven cooked but I've microwaved them in previous years, no problem.
And the chestnuts are ready-cooked vacuum packed ones, one minute in the microwave and they're warm.
Just a mince pie for pudding, I think, after that lot!

@Franstrahan, try one of those single custard pots on the mince pie. Should add more realism but either way good for you for making the effort.

So do I!! -
Minced pies are a must @Franstrahan!

@Franstrahan you can do sprouts in the slow cooker with your carrots etc.
I hate cooking but I like my slow cooker. -
@Onix
Thank you for that tip. Wouldn't be Christmas dinner without sprouts! (and chestnuts). Good old slow cooker, what cant it do?!
@April2018mom
Definitely mince pies! Christmas puds are so variable. And a bit heavy after the main course. -
Slightly revised, it'll be chicken breast, sausages, sprouts and parsnips in the slow cooker, chestnuts in the microwave.
And I will be having mash with mine, saw this debate on another thread @Chloe_Scope. Two reasons; most important, it soaks up the gravy. And secondly, I've got instant, just add boiling water. Probably a little butter too. -

If you check out the thread Christmas Day Fun & Games, my first post there, you'll find out!
Apart from that the slow cooker was brilliant!! Lovely meal. I dont mind cold chestnuts... -
