Complete the 2.6 Challenge for Scope
What's it all about?
The 2.6 Challenge aims to raise £67 million for UK charities like Scope who are working tirelessly to support disabled people during this crisis. Inspired by the distance of a marathon, 26.2 miles, people are choosing their own challenges based on the numbers 2.6 or 26 and raising money for their favourite charities.
1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – or use one of the great ideas below!
2. Visit The 2.6 Challenge website to make a donation to Scope as you prepare to complete your challenge – or even better, set up a JustGiving fundraising page so others can contribute as well.
3. Spread the word and encourage friends and family to support your fundraising – and make their own donation to Scope.
4. Complete your challenge.
5. Share a photo or video of your challenge here on the community or on social media. Use #TwoPointSixChallenge, #TeamScope and @Scope so we can see your awesome challenge in action!

Hi everyone. This Friday I'm pushing myself 2.6 miles, which is just over 6 times around my area. I'm trying to raise money for Scope the Disability Charity. It would be great if you could sponsor me. Please donate as much or as little as you can!

A brave disabled man from Cornwall has raised nearly £15,000 for charity after taking on the 2.6 Challenge. Gabe Judge walked 0.26 miles over two days to raise money for disabled charity Scope, and has now increased his challenge to 2.6 miles as his fitness has improved. The 21-year-old from Illogan was born eight weeks prematurely and has cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy and is blind. Against all the odds, Gabe has the confidence and acquired the skill to crawl happily around the house, and to also use a walker. The 2.6 Challenge asks people to take part in any activity they like involving those numbers - from running 2.6 miles to holding an online workout with 26 friends. The aim of the challenge is to 'save' the UK's charities during these difficult times.
