Will UC accept be back if I leave work again after transitioning off benefits ??

hi I have been out of work for 3 years suffering from a mental disability but feel as though I could pick up work again. 

I receive UC on the LCW tariff. 

I have put out a light feeler and had a job offer from Amazon. 

I want to push myself to get over my agoraphobia, however if I start that job my benefits will decline and my claim will end. 

My worry is that after 3-6 months I will deteriorate like before and be unable to work again but that I also won’t be allowed back on benefits. 

What is the DWP’s stance if I found myself in that possession needing to go back to supported living ?? 

Will they allow my benefits claim to proceed if I had to leave the job for my mental health?

    Hi I am not an expert but many people go in and out of work and claim benefits when not working.
    I think the main consideration is the reason for leaving. If you leave voluntarily then you may not be entitled to benefits for a period of time, also you would have to go through the WCA process again to be found LCW.

    First off massive congratulations on your job offer, that sounds like a great opportunity, working for Amazon :)

    Please don't take my thoughts as certain because I'm nowhere near an expert on this, but I think that you'll have to make a new claim, because your current claim will end when you start work. 

    When you start your new job, don't forget that this community is always here to support you, as well as the Access to Work scheme if you're eligible and any other supportive organisations or charities that specialise in supporting people in your situation to stay in work.

    jamesbeech Are you getting PIP that might help? Not sure about other benefits. I have problems with my mental health as well as mobility issues.
