Hello and welcome to the community @GingerIvyM It sounds like you've got a lot on your hands!
Just to let you know, I've moved your post into the cerebral palsy category so that others who have been in a similar situation are more likely to see it. You might also like to take a scroll through the parents and carers category to connect with some of our other parents.
Thank you for tagging Richard, @janer1967!

Thank you for your help moving my post. My 1st post so abs Newbie! BB's always had tummy trouble and Doc only ever suggests movicol. We use Epsom salts, linseed and chia in diet but sometimes it is just no help. 15 years of poop?

No problem at all @GingerIvyM You were right to make a welcome post, we just sometimes move them if there's a focus to them that fits better in one of our other categories.
Have you been to see a specialist doctor at all? -
No Doc said try Movicol again.

Hmm, that's frustrating @GingerIvyM. Have you spoken to a gastroenterologist? It's not something I really know about I'm afraid! I'm going to tag your post as 'unanswered' so more people will see it.

Hi @GingerIvyM
Good to meet you and welcome to the community. Wow, twins, I bet you are busy!
How mobile is the child with stomach issues? Is there pain or bloating? Are there other physical signs like rashes? Is there blood?
You may have done already but the first thing I would do is keep a food diary over there period of two weeks. You should then be able to identify if your child has a food sensitivity. The major food allergens are:
Celery
Cereals containing gluten
Crustaceans
Eggs
Fish
Lupin
Milk
Molluscs
Mustard
Nuts
Peanuts
Sesame seeds
Sulphur dioxide
Soya
Be very careful with linseed as well too much over a period of time will cause diarrhoea.

I haven't seen a gastro doc yet as GP will only give Movicol and says try that 1st. For years this has been a fluctuating problem most likely due to CP. Doesn't give impression she's allergic but I will try the food elimination and do a food diary. Thanks for all helpful ideas. Coping with life, working from home and twins with special needs sometimes gets me down. Appreciate feeling part of community yet unsure how this forum thing works. Not very techy!Take care allGIM

Has your GP referred to a Gastroenterologist or does the GP want to try again to see if the Movicol has any benefit? It can be tricky to pinpoint one specific cause for some gastro issues.
Give to food diary a go, at least you might have some idea of what could be causing the discomfort.
As for the working from home with kids; I hear you!, it has been a real challenge for me too and I don't think I have always covered myself in glory either. I suppose we are all adapting. Don't be too hard on yourself.
I'm really glad you are part of the community. If you need any help navigating the 'techy' bits, give us a shout.Scope

Hey, hope your fine. Obviously as others suggested medical professionals need to rule out/diagnose .
But as you asked about peoples experiences I have IBS and it can affect people of all ages. I dont know if theres a relation between CP and IBS tbh but its possible to have many different conditions that coexist.
I also have experience as a parent going through the loops of allergy testing it took us over a year if not more of having symptoms, food diaries, going to A&E etc to eventually be seen by a paediatric allergist as the problem just wasnt going away.
